Donotellius squinted as he opened his eyes. He was now on the surface and was transitioning into “one who lives below.”
His last memory was that of the Administrator reading aloud his alleged violation. “Donotellius, through your recent actions, you have been found guilty of willful contradiction of the Code of Economica. The Book of Hewstonius, Chapter 6, verse 1837 clearly states: ‘Lure consumerites with false claims if you must because profits are paramount.’ You are hereby sentenced to a life below for the remainder of your days.”

Jumbo Daddy had it all. Born into money and means, he had a brain for business and a chemically enhanced body that all the guys desired. He was just one perfectly tanned torso in a sea of social clones who answered the call to ritual tonight. Not even the sickest tribal beat distracted him from his validation mission as he posed - serious lipped - for the photographer who was inevitability drawn toward his presence.
It took an hour to hike down to the falls. Juban had never seen such towering trees. He thought maybe they were put there to somehow be guardians of this sacred feeling space. He stood on the rocky shore and watched in amazement as the water cascaded over the high cliff. The resulting mist enveloped him offering relief from the unseasonably warm weather. He inched toward the water rushing by and reluctantly submerged his big toe. He couldn’t believe how cold it was on such a hot day. He looked back up at the falls, then to the giant trees and was suddenly very aware of his smallness in the world.
Taron looked up and couldn’t believe Prophet Jin was so late to The Circle. All in attendance were eager to experience the truths to be revealed through the shared smoke.
He stuck his foot out trying to delay the inevitable. He was just the next dissident to be thrown from the high places. His wings had already been injected and he could feel the numbness spread. In moments, he would be on the ground while his wings continued to disintegrate. Soon he will also be one who lives below - one of those he tried in vain to protect.
It was a normal day in the Old White Rich People Shopping Center in the City of Business. Normally, Riyule would show up late as usual, plop down in his desk chair and yell talk about something inconsequential from his puffy red cheeks. His face would shift from RBF to contempt over the length of a sentence, but not today. Today, he saw the new photo hanging by the computer monitor.
“That motherfucker has a perfect lover too?!” Today, Riyule was green like the flame from burning copper. It all really started during the summer of 2007. I recently turned 30 and had been exchanging messages online with a boy I thought was the most gorgeous I had ever seen. He claimed he was 18, but I was skeptical. Eventually he convinced me to meet him. The first thing I did was ask for ID, and true to his word, he had recently turned 18. He was wearing a solid maroon t-shirt and some khaki shorts. He was so nervous and talked as if he was set on fast forward. I could see that he was sweating. I asked him to come to me, and I embraced him gently from behind. I can not adequately describe the feeling I felt. It felt like being jolted awake. It was magnetic. It felt more right than anything ever had in my life. He turned around and we hugged during what felt like a suspension of time. I knew instantly that our spirits spoke the same language. We would meet regularly from 2007 until the Universe created the perfect set of circumstances that brought us together in 2012. He is the greatest gift I could have ever imagined and I’m grateful for his equally passionate love for me ever day. Happy 8th Anniversary my love- my muse. I can’t wait to live out the next chapter of our lives together.
Today, I celebrate my 43rd birthday. This year, I decided to relaunch my art career after a 7 year hiatus. For the past two months I’ve been making art and writing stories like a madman. Sometimes the timing just feels right, and this is one of those times in my life. The image I chose is a self-portrait from 2007-2009 and is one of my earliest pieces using paper as the primary medium. It reminds me of where I was at that time in my life and all the growth and knowledge that I have acquired since. I am so grateful to have been given this unusual opportunity from the universe to relaunch and I look forward to sharing my art, stories, philosophy, and life with all of you, my friends. Thank you to everyone who has supported me through the years and hope you are all ready for a fun ride!
