Today, I decided to idle my personal Facebook page. It’s a decision I’ve been threatening for months, but thankfully Facebook made the decision for me. Yesterday morning I received a notification from “Facebook corporate?” stating that a comment I made on a live-streaming of the Louisville, KY protests last night violated their speech standards and because of two previous infractions(both in mid-June), I was now banned from posting or commenting for 24 hours. My comment on the livestream said: “I believe citizens should take up arms against the police.” I still believe that and stand by it 100%. USAmerican police have become our modern day storm troops- fascist thugs snuffing out people of color with total support from every level and both branches of government. They burst through citizen’s doors without warrants and kill with impunity. I believe the Founding Fathers would agree that when a government becomes this tyrannical, it is time to do our best to destroy it. My previous two speech violations occurred in mid-June:
As a friend once said: “I’m an artist, not a politician. I don’t have to be nice.” Facebook, in general, and Mark Zuckerberg specifically, really has some nerve. Not only have they been profiting from my data(and yours) for years, but they have also enjoyed money I’ve spent on ads. Facebook sows discord in societies by promoting political tribalism for profit. Facebook was directly responsible for genocide in Myanmar in 2018. I think their response was something like “ooops, our bad!” Unfortunately, due to financial restraints and the size of my business, I have no choice but to continue using my business page as a means of procuring new supporters and directing eyes toward my website. However, I will no longer be active on my personal Facebook page beyond posting links redirecting traffic to my website. My website will be my home base for all things art and my life- my space to say and post what I wish without fear of censorship. With your help, I look forward to the day when I have achieved the level of reach that will allow me to deactivate both my personal and business Facebook accounts permanently. Thank you for your continued support and please enjoy my art.

Herron walked through the gateway - a rusty door that creaked beneath a ragged canopy.
The fluorescent light of the cigarette vending machine glared from behind as he waited to pay his cover. Beyond the double doors ahead, some bodies were gyrating while the goths swayed their gloom away to the sounds of crackling 80’s vinyl. It was Friday night. 1. For easier cleaning, try using a pane of glass for your 🎨 . Most acrylic paints release easily with just a little encouragement from a razor scraper. The rest can be cleaned away with alcohol. 2. Need to take a break for an hour or a day but don’t want to waste paint? Use plastic cling wrap! Cut, or brutally tear a piece off and lay over the paint. Work your fingers around the perimeter of the paint to create an airtight seal.
I think of colors as if they are musical notes or culinary spices. Combine them according to your tastes. Don’t be afraid to make new flavors.
I met Roberto online many years ago when we lived just a few blocks apart in a neighborhood near downtown. He taught me about good tacos and we shared a love for electronic music. He had an infectious smile and wasn’t afraid to act goofy when we would go out to the Hispanic disco next to the Colorado stripper bar. The last I heard, he was living in Puerto Vallarta. I see him walking down the cobblestone streets or jogging on the beach in my imagination. His independent spirit has always inspired me. Hopefully, our paths will cross again.
Pip Millay only had two tastes of the pipe before the wisdom began flowing from his tongue:
“The red berries of the Bohannon vine are sweet, but the purple clusters at the highest reaches are sweeter. The ones who climb well voluntarily navigate the limbs and gather the bounty. They return to our hillside village and share the fruits with those with other unique and alternative dexterities. The fruits of the land belong to everyone.” She stops and tilts her head as she looks out the 2nd floor window. This is her 7th home and her 4th out of 9 lives. Later, she will take a nap and dream about the times she played with Daddy on the easel. She could climb so high.
One of the prophets turned to Kinto and asked what the smoke had revealed.
Kinto turned to the right and said, “Guinnea better fly or she might die. Gotta get to the store before they lock the door. It ain’t no lie - I’m bout to eat some moon pies, and wash me down with an RC cola coke.” I’ve always been fascinated by birds. They have so much energy and are constantly navigating the flow of life. The modern miniature dinosaurs add beauty to life with their countless varieties of colors and songs.
